Danger of Asbestos

When asbestos materials are installed, scratched, drilled to be installed and / or get damaged, asbestos fibers are released into the air. When these airborne fibers are inhaled or digested by humans or by animals they cause serious diseases like cancer.

These diseases will not affect you immediately they often may take a long time to develop, but once diagnosed, unfortunately it is too late to cure or to do anything to safe this life.

The most common way to get the deadly infection is through breathing while working with asbestos or living under roofs of asbestos. In fact, asbestos wherever it will be installed, represents danger for any living beings.

UV rays and harsh weather conditions etc., will increase the deterioration and pulverization of asbestos-containing materials.

Water damages, continual vibration, aging, and physical impact such as drilling, grinding, buffing, cutting, sawing, or striking can break the materials down.

There are three primary diseases associated with asbestos exposure :

  • Asbestosis, a serious, chronic respiratory disease.
  • Lung cancer, which causes the largest number of deaths related to asbestos exposure.
  • Mesothelioma, which is a rare form of cancer that most often occurs in the thin membrane lining of the lungs, chest, abdomen, and heart.

Because each exposure to asbestos, increases the body burden of asbestos fibers, that it is very important to reduce and minimize any way to work with this materials.
